semena 11 CRAZY‏

Ok so I wish I could write even a little bit of what happened this week.. BUT I CANT. SO MUCH. But 1st HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY LOVELY PARENTS!!!! Also want to say sorry to Brig Babe for not wishing him a happy bday in July! But ok I got bit by a dog last night after THE craziest lesson EVER. Not allowed to say much about the lesson but it was just an amazing crazyyy day! So we were walking to our house and all a sudden like 5 dogs come out of nowhere and were going bezerk, and bit me hahah it hurt pretty bad! It's all good now and we cleaned it good! But this week we had a house that when they heard us knock they all went silent and when we would say hola they had a kid bark like a dog hahah, it was sooo good! Then another house we went to we told the guy we were missionaries of Christ and he was inviting us in and had food for us, but when he was about to open the door he asked what church and we said LDS yadda yadda, and he LOST IT telling us we were sons of the devil, we don't believe in Christ and just woa.. it was NUTS. I was so pumped after that...!! oh but ok.. here's the story for this week!

So on Friday we had intercambiars and it was my first time staying in the area and Elder Angulo knows Spanish and English so that was way nice. It was like 4:55 and dinner was in 5 min but I felt like we should knock on this door and it was this misquita lady.. and she was awesome. Really old right? And she prayed like really loud and sang and stuff but it was so cool. Anyway, she believed our message and we had an appointment the next day. Well lo and behold there are like 6 hermanas and sabrinos with the mom and their children in the same complex and we taught all of them, they all believe, all came to church, and all want to get baptized!!! OH WAIT, WE ARE ZONA CELESTIAL THIS MONTH!! FOR THE FIRST TIME IN COMAYAGUELA HISTORY!! haha! But Elder Borge and I had no baptisms but we're going to have a lot next month! But man, this family is kinda like Kevin and William. Every time we have visited them I feel like I knew these women in the life pasado.. and then it hits me why I'm here. Because I really did promise others I would find and teach them. It's so cool to imagine that you knew them before and were buds and friends and just ah. There's nothing like that. But also my comp almost got hit by a car haha it was crazy. But that's all I have time for today! All ya'll! listen up! REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD AND HE HAS A PLAN FOR YOU. REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN ALWAYS BE A MISSIONARY . ANYTIME ANYWHERE. LOVE YOU ALL!

 

 

 

 

 

This week I'm thankful for my district, food, way good food, pics, the gift of tongues (which btw I am learning Spanish big time..), my beautiful parents!, receiving like 10 letters this week, the drive to Mimis!, and Real Salt Lake games!

semana 10 I dont like saying semanas anymore but its been 2 months exact!‏

Hola! What a week! This 1st part of the week was probably more tough than the 1st week!! I was in the dumps!.. BUT THEN.. we had a mtg with all the new missionaries and holy smokes were my spirits lifted! Elder Pugh and    Elder Hale basically are my favorite people in the world right now and boy, we just talked and talked and all had the same problems and ahh it just felt good to get it out! But oh was it a blessing for that mtg! EVERY DAY WE WORK HARDER AND HARDER. Which I am SO grateful for.. I'm exhausted by the end of the day but I go to bed content and happy with the work we have done. We had 4 of our investigators at church yesterday! Such an amazing blessing! Kevin and William.. man are they the greatest! They are so interested and just.. ah! There's a letter coming that will talk more about them! But my Spanish this week.. idk what's happened but things are just making sense! I still barely know anything but I actually know a lot! Totally the gift of tongues! The Lord is blessing me! and I always ask for things I need and I don't like that. What is it that YOU wanna hear or need from me? Stories, experiences.. just tell me! Your letters and emails just help me SOOO MUCH. The Parson's and Bowen's! got their letter! thank you! oh and does Stockton know how mad I am at him for not writing? I heard the Mustangs are doing work! BOY DO I MISS BEING A FRONTROWSHMOW and college football!..we've had water for a week which is awesome because no bucket showers! ha! your scripture to look up is Moroni 9:6. :) 

This week I'm thankful for water, Mr. Fernley keyboarding class, cameras, interchanges, English, district, David, CCM, everything, paper, ties.

Semana 9! I think...‏

Hey! It's a wonderful time of day! ya.. Thats arthur hahah woo! WHAT A GLORIOUS HARD AWESOME WEEK! Wanted to apologize for being so down last week.. it was rough but boy am I better! I think I was just freakin' out a little too much..  YOUR PRAYERS WORK! Ok so funny/random things first.. I miss that song, that was dads song. Savvy knows which song. Also, everything here is so stinkin' cheap it's so awesome. Gas is like 24 limpera! OH HAHAHA BTW! We thought it was pesos here! haha! no! not in Guatemala or Honduras! But it's all good! Also, ask Brother Bastian about this, but the buses here, they are my favorite things in the world...! THEY ARE NUTS. Blasting music, driving crazy, it's awesome. Also, Carter I heard Hey Brother and it reminded me of you. LOVE YOU DUDE. How's Alta sems?? ok. about other songs! I'm sending a pic of what I need! Thanks for all the stuff! But you don't need to send a lot! I have everything! But this is what I need.. ok that pic of the GB thing. I need music on it! specifically.. church/efy/Josh Groban songs! oh and definitely Thankful for the Rain.. PLEASE! ANDDD Hercules I Can Go the Distance.. Vocal Point.. Piano Guys, Alex Boye CHRISTMAS CHURCH SONGS FROM JOSH GROBAN,, Paul Cardall and Come Unto Christ theme song! POR FAVOR! But I'm letting you choose the music but please look in the missionary white handbook on the guidelines please! That'd be an AWESOME Christmas gift!! Load em up! haha! like 300 songs! Other than that I don't need anything else! Like for a long time cuz I can find everything else here! OH ACTUALLY BLACK GOOD NIKE SOCKS! Carter will tell you which ones! That's pretty much all I'll need for 2 years! oh and p90x ab ripper! haha! and ties!:) oh and flossers.. the ones that are good. not floss cuz I have those. haha BUT BOY DO I LOVE HONDURAS!! MAN! There's just so much I want to say..

 

Ok so we are finding lots of people but a lot keep just falling short. They don't want to go to church or forget but we have 2 investigators that are REALLY looking like amazing investigadores. M and L! M's baptism date is Sept 29th but we need to teach him lots. He's so great. L... man he is so ready! His wife has been baptized but ah! I'm so excited! 

 

Ok my message this week is about Enoch and Jermeiah! Both prophets that basically shook the world. But 1st they both said the same thing to the Lord. I'm a child. I don't know how to speak. I don't know how I can do this. That's what I feel sometimes. But THEN the Lord, in his infinite mercy GIVES THEM HOPE. Gives them power to speak. And I know that's what the Lord will do with all his missionaries if they are obedient and be THE BEST THEY CAN BE. Entonces.. be the BEST YOU CAN BE AND THE LORD WILL BLESS YOU!! YOU CAN SHAKE THE WORLD!!  I love you guys and I just found out Elder M from the ccm had to go home because something happened to him and he got released like he served a full 2year mission.. miss that elder and can't imagine what happened. Pray for him! Ok funny story this week real fast! Ok so we were doing laundry and I decided to play a prank on Elder Borge so I got our knife and was pretending to sharpen a pencil and I had ketchup and hahahah you can guess what happened next hahah it was the funniest thing ever. I needed that laugh! 

 

This week I'm grateful for exercise, cold showers, new families, be the 4th missionary talk WHICH ALL SHOULD READ AND BE THE BEST 4TH WHATEVER THEY CAN BE, sacred music, my shoes, paper, papel tapiz, food, andddd my mission!

Ahhhh people! wow! hi everyone! sorry bout last week the MTC said our miss pres would let us call so don't call at the airport but thattt was a lie.. hahah everyone in the other MTC's got to but we didn't, so that was a kinda a bummer. Um ok! So I'm in La Vega! ABOUT 10 MIN FROM MAIN city of Teg. and I only have 40 min of email every Monday at 10.. ha! but I can write letters every night after planning! So I'll just say that the MTC was stinkin' easy and I have no clue why I ever complained about that place bahahah boy do I miss my district! My comp is Elder Borge and he is an awesome worker! Great missionary! Buttt he only speaks Spanish so its pretty hard! From Nicaragua! Oh also, I'm the 1st gringo in this area for like over a year.. haha so idk what that means but I haven't been robbed yet! Or been asked to get married! its so crazy here but so awesome! These weekly emails will be short because I'd rather spend time doing personal emails with the fam. But one last thing! Laman and Lemuel make me so mad because they had their family and STILL complained about everything.. Boy was I spoiled. FAMILY IS EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. I'm trying hard to not think about home but sometimes its so hard. Oh mom, can I get yoyo string, peace myramid, and more ties in the next package as well? gracias! oh and the people here.. so amazing. I love them so much and we are teaching so much! I wish I could describe the experiences and miracles here.. I'll have a lot to say in 2 years! That's the only thing that helps me through the day when I feel hopeless. Teaching others. They also say how good my Spanish is every day but I feel like its so bad but then I realize I've been here for like 6 days haha I love you guys!

semana 5: last semana in the ccm! I KNOW CCM SPANISH

familia! como estan! What a week! What a ride! Last pday in the CCM and it is muy weird. 

Ok to start off Elder Macfarlane or MacDaddy and I got switched back to the CCM haha. BUT. we got the same room as our 1st roomates and best friends Elder Miles anElder McLain! We love those guys! And we got moved to the 3rd floor which is way nicer! But um Pres Cox is finally back! Boy was it nice seeing him again! He's like the greatest pump up speaker ever. No joke. Like Elder Holland good. He's absolutely terrifying but the most lovable guy ever. He's gonna be a general authority one day. I know it. But Elder MacFarlane got called as a district leader and I got called as a zone leader! So that's been fun! It's not crazy busy but I still feel inadequate for it. Love helping people that need it though! Both Latinos and Nortos! We also got a new teacher and I love her so much! Oh but before I go into the awesome stuff I gotta tell this story hahahahaah

So we got the newbies Wednesday in our room and we had this idea (this was before I got called as a ZL) well actually Elder Miles did but we needed to have some fun that was simple and so we decided to have a couple elders in our room talking to the newbies about how their first day was and who they were and stuff and then during the middle of it, Elder Miles would start acting like a monkey slowly and then we'd all start doing it in the room and then we got sorta a lot, like 30 or 35 of other elders to wait  outside for the start and they would come in acting like monkeys and so it sorta happened, and IT WAS CRAZY! hahahah One of the funniest things that ever happened.. just like 50 elders in this room acting like monkeys for the newbies. It was great. But I had no idea it was gonna be that loud and that crazy or I don't think we would done it.. haha I laughed forever.

Ok so this is the last week! Wow. um I'd just like to say that the gift of tongues is real. We teach lessons every day sometimes 3 lessons to investigators and I just can't believe where it is at right now. We could go on and on for hours in Spanish about the gospel but we have to cut it to 20 min. The only way we can talk like that in Spanish and remember all the vocab and tenses and everything is from the spirit. There's no other explanation. It's amazing. That has really helped me everyday because I get so pumped teaching a fake investigator that is our teacher and were teaching her/him about the gospel and they are asking questions and we are bearing witness and asking them to be baptized and change, and man my soul is just FILLED with joy. I can't even describe it. I AM A BAPTIZING MISSIONARY. Pres Cox gave us the greatest speech ever about that and holy smokes am I ready to roll. I wanna get everybody in the whole world baptized so they can go to the Temple with their family! It's all about the temple! if only people knew how amazing the blessings and importance of the temple are! But my message this week is simple.

 el evangelio de jesucristo es verdad. yo se que dios es real y el nos ama. el es nuestro amoroso padre celestial. cuando nosotros creemos y tiene fae en jesucristo y su expiacion, vida es mejor. esta es simple.

I hate writing in Spanish cause the buttons on the keyboard are crazy but just know that although this language is difficult, we can give lessons on any topic in preach my gospel. Because of the gift of tongues and because of the spirit. Because of Him, I can do anything. And because of Him, YOU can do anything. I can't wait to be teaching in 5 days. So excited. Love you my family. And I also wanted to say how much I love my district family. These elders are my brothers and I can't even imagine that I'm gonna leave them in 5 days.. I wish I could describe each and every one of them to you, but just know they are amazing.

This week I'm thankful for the rain..;) for candy, a toothbrush, Presidente Cox, my district.., bands, prayer, teaching, songs, come thou fount, sunday school,  Alma, meetings, devotion, letters, work, Herriman High, sophomore year, Will Barker, blankets, the CCM

Oh also people tell me I look like 40 or 25 years old hahaha. And will you check my bank account to make sure everything is good? Bought some stuff with my card soo ya. gracias! oh and I didn't get any letters besides Abby's that she sent 4 weeks ago.. and I got it last night haha So I'll get them in the mission probably! but I can't answer peoples emails so please write letters so I can write cortas! {Yesterday we got to go back and forth a little through e-mail with Elder Johnson. His brother asked for his advice on a big decision he had to make for this year, and this was his response. Great for all of us!}

"Tell him to go to the Lord right now, and tell him you made a decision, and ask Him if it's the right one. He will get an answer. Also tell him to read his patriarchal blessing. Tell him I love him and whatever he does just remember what I said in the letter you're about to get here in a couple days."
